Boyce FAC Review – Accelerator Installation boyce@slac.stanford.edu October 29-31, 2007 5 2007 Installation Schedule (cont) LCLS 2007 Installation schedule, as of 10/19/07, contains 550 task lines Shift work and multiple crews being used for Mech/Vac; shift work in schedule for Cable Plant work during PPS no access periods Critical Path As of 10/19/07, CP runs through BC2 Removal of hardware - Cable plant and component install – cable terminations – cable testing; complete 11/23/07 Magnet testing & checkouts need to interleave and follow cable completion through end of downtime Further testing may need ROD periods

Magnet loads not installed until ~March 2008, but need to checkout & commission before next downtime Cable plant (Controls) install needs to be coordinated with BTH West MEP (LCLS CF)

BTH-NEH B.O. 3/21/08; X-ray tunnel – FEH B.O. 6/23/08 NEH elevator not available until ~March 2008, will limit early equipment installation Subcontract SOWs are being prepared Need to ensure this work does not impact the 2007 installation effort, but stay on schedule (cable plant already slipped into February 2008)
