3 Bancroft Berthing All NASP personnel will be berthed in 7 th and 8 th Wings (all other wings are off limits) − Summer School check-in: 7-0 − All other programs check-in: 8-0 YP, OSTS, PFP, AT/FP, EOD PTE, Athletes here for blockers, etc. − 24/7 NASP phone numbers − 7 th Wing: 410-293-5001 − 8 th Wing: 410-293-8600 − Once checked in, you will receive room assigned to you ahead of time. 4 Block 1 Check-In NASP assumes responsibility for midshipmen effective 1600 / 22 May Check in Uniform: Khaki or Summer White − Friday 22 May: 1600-2000 − 23 May – 24 May: 1200-1600 − Monday 25 May: 1200-1800 Restrictees must check in on 22 May Midshipman in Summer School that started on 18 May must also check in on 22 May (Can take weekend if eligible) Block 1 Summer School and local PTEs such as YP, OSTS, PFP, and internships check in by 25 May

5 22-25 May Check-in Excusals Mids on Block 0 Fleet Cruise or PTE Mids on approved leave chit from CO / SEL (HIGHLY ENCOURAGED) − BRING THIS CHIT WITH YOU WHEN YOU CHECK-IN Mids who start Block 1 training after 26 May MIDS WHO FAIL TO CHECK INTO NASP ON TIME WITHOUT A VAILD REASON WILL BE GIVEN TOURS AND RESTRICTION ON THE FOLLOWING WEEKEND (OR FIRST WEEKEND BACK ON THE YARD)

13 Guidance Represent USNA and the Navy − Work hard, but take time to enjoy yourself − Impressions are important Wear a squared-away uniform or appropriate civilian clothes Be on time and prepared Use good headwork. If it doesn’t seem right, don’t do it. − Responsible use of social media Have a battle buddy Do not go to off-limits liberty areas (i.e. Tijuana) − Your MTO or host POC should brief you on these areas Red Lines − UCMJ − ARIs − Fraternization

14 Leave or Liberty – buddy system shall be utilized at all times Abide by the liberty boundaries, attire guidelines, curfews, and accountability procedures established by the geographic combatant commander (GCC) and one of the following: − The deployed unit Commanding Officer − The Officer or Faculty Rep − USNA IPO Director Alcohol − 1 non-drinker per every 4 drinkers − Non-drinker must not have had a drink within 12 hours and be free of the effects of alcohol − Drinking age will conform to the legal age set by the host country − In the absence of any local law, minimum drinking age shall be 21 Overseas Leave/Liberty

15 What to take/wear − Packing Lists − One checked bag (collapsible) and one carry-on − CONUS, Hawaii and Guam – Summer Whites − Outside U.S. – civilian clothes Government Travel (Standard) − USNA funded training events include government funded travel to and from the training event; lodging; and per diem Independent Travel − You have received prior approval from Summer Training to arrange your own transportation to and/or from a Fleet Cruise or PTE for which government transportation is normally provided Travel

20 Contingencies Change in medical status since screening − Go to BMU ASAP and inform the STDO of any changes Emergency Leave − AMCROSS − Immediate family − Brigade family in some cases Midshipmen do not: − Terminate Fleet Cruises early − Change travel itineraries w/o STDO authorization − Go on leave without finishing travel vouchers − Go on leave without CO/SEL approval Purchase changeable/refundable tickets for leave When in doubt, contact your class training officer or the STDO
