5. “When Enoch had lived 65 years, he became the father of Methuselah. And after he became the father of Methuselah, Enoch walked with God 300 years and had

6. other sons and daughters. Altogether, Enoch lived 365 years. Enoch walked with God; then he was no more, because God took him away.” Genesis 5:21-24

7. What does it mean to walk with God?

8. It is a picture of intimacy, friendship, peace, tranquility, unity and harmony that God intended for His children.

9. “He has showed you, O man, what is good. And what does the LORD require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God.” Micah 6:8

10. Spirituality in the OT and in the NT is the same: walking with God in close fellowship. The faith of fellowship

11. “By faith Enoch was taken from this life, so that he did not experience death; he could not be found, because God had taken him away. For before he was taken he was commended as one who pleased God.” Hebrews 11:5

12. Our trust in God grows as we walk (fellowship) with God.

13. The closer we become to someone the more we see who they really are.

14. You will never know how great God is until you really get to know Him.

15. It says of Enoch that “he was commended as one who pleased God.” If you are a true believer that is YOUR desire!

16. “And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.” Hebrews 11:6

17. Faith in this verse is described in two ways:

18. 1. Trust in the existence of the one true God of the Bible.

19. Belief in God’s existence means a life that’s transformed by the belief that God is present and active in every part of our lives.

21. The real proof of God comes AFTER faith. “The one who believes in the Son of God has the witness in himself.” 1 John 5:10

22. 2. Trust that God will reward those who are faithful to Him.

23. Believing that God exists is the first step toward faith. Believing that He rewards those who trust Him is the first step of faith.

24. That is the beginning but to continue to please God we must fellowship with Him.

25. Enoch Preached for God.

26. “Enoch, the seventh from Adam, prophesied about these men: ‘See, the Lord is coming with thousands upon thousands of his holy ones to judge everyone, and to convict all the

27. ungodly of all the ungodly acts they have done in the ungodly way, and of all the harsh words ungodly sinners have spoken against him.’” Jude 14-15

28. He and God just decided to walk home together.
