Introduction Course Description UNIT NAME:ENT 251 Solid Mechanics LECTURER:Muhamad Saifuldin Bin Abdul Manan CONTACT HOURS: 5 hours per week & LEARNING APPROACH: 3 hours lecture, 2 hours tutorial/laboratory CREDITS:4 credits PRE-REQUISITES: None OBJECTIVE:To provide student with theory and application of the fundamental principles of Solid Mechanics. To understand the physical behaviour of materials under loading. To introduce the concept of stress, strain, axial load, torsional loading, bending and buckling.
