2 Of what are these examples?  My eyes widened at the sight of the mile- high ice cream cones we were having for dessert.  She was breathtakingly beautiful, but he knew that she was forbidden fruit.  “Friends, Romans, countrymen, lend me your ears”  She worked to be sure it was as clean as a whistle.

4 What about these? What do you notice?  The taste of that first defeat was bitter indeed.  Her positive attitude is a lighthouse for the hopeful.  The bang of the screen door startled all of the kids.  The swastika caused the people to cringe.
