Purpose and Hypothesis
Purpose- How does the temperature change when the different temperatures of water are added to cold water? Hypothesis- The room temperature water will turn cold and the hot water will turn room temperature.
3
Variables and Levels Independent Variable- The temperature of the water being added. Dependent Variable- The mixed temperatures. Mix of Room Temperature and Cold Mix of Hot and Cold 2 trials

Constants and Procedures
Constants- volume, temperature sensor Procedures- 1. Measure 20mL of cold water, water, and room temperature water and put each temperature water in a separate beaker. 2.Set up the temperature sensor. 3.To make the water become hot, place it over the alcohol burner until it is at 60 degrees. 4.Mix the hot and cold water and record. 5.Mix the room temperature water with the cold water and record the results.

Conclusion During this lab, we expected the mix of the cold and hot water to be room temperature, but it was higher than that. We thought the mix of the room temperature and the cold water would be a low temperature, but it was higher than we thought. The hot and cold water mix was near what we expected ,but the room temperature and cold mix didn’t have a big change like we thought it would.
