5 SharePoint 12 Delegated Self service Everything is a list RSS subscription to any list Ability to subscribe to changes – delta change on meta-data is provided Take lists off-line in Outlook 12 Lists are extensible Workflow on any list Combine structured meta-data and content searches All interactions between Office 12 and SharePoint are through published web services Document properties (meta-data) promoted into lists, any changes persisted in document as well, even better with XML Remix web parts and list data into custom portals Mash up lists in Excel and Access for analysis etc Filter, search and aggregate lists Wiki’s and blogs can be part of a workspace Publish all manner of meta-data as lists to share and allow others to analyse etc Create podcasts and publish via RSS with enclosures, auto download of enclosures in Outlook 12 and MANY other RSS readers Powerful web interface, blended with Office 12 which is its “Rich Internet Application” Participation on-line and off-line, publishing documents, forms, meta-data, discussions, wiki’s, blogs, shared links

6 Outlook 12 Aggregate Email, RSS and SharePoint data into Outlook, document libraries, discussions, tasks, calendars etc Filter, sort, group etc SSE SharePoint data based on list meta-data Publish and Subscribe to SharePoint data in Excel and Access to allow mash-up and analysis, filtering, bulk processing etc Distribute and aggregate forms data using Outlook via email and Access Tag any content for follow up or using arbitary (but fixed) categories and aggregate based on tag See presence indicators (and collaboration initiators) in emails, address book, calendar etc Type down – context sensitive – search Persistent search folders monitor aggregated content for key words etc Work off and on-line
