PRIME MINISTRY REPUBLIC OF TURKEY TURKISH STATISTICAL INSTITUTE Foreign Relations Department 11.10.2007 USST Phase I Achievements –TURKSTAT received ~4000 man*days of EU Expertise, ~2400 man*days of Local Expertise via 2 main service components, –12 ministries received technical expertise via 4 framework contracts, –IT equipment of ~3 M€ was supplied to TURKSTAT, –8 data collection projects were contracted.

PRIME MINISTRY REPUBLIC OF TURKEY TURKISH STATISTICAL INSTITUTE Foreign Relations Department 11.10.2007 USST Phase I Achievements –2 local language trainings for TURKSTAT staff and main data providers were performed via Language Training and Translations component –In the context of the Grants, over 1500 participants attended app. 700 activities, ~1,8 M€ spent in 4 years for grant activities.

PRIME MINISTRY REPUBLIC OF TURKEY TURKISH STATISTICAL INSTITUTE Foreign Relations Department 11.10.2007 USST Phase I Main Results –The know-how level of TURKSTAT experts about the statistics being compiled, compilation methods, standards and terminologies increased via service contracts and training grants, –Development of technical capacity and infrastructure in ICT improved the statistical methodology, –Coordination between TURKSTAT and main statistics providers (ministries) was increased via USST I.
