16 The majestic figure if Big Buddha is seated on the hillside of Po Lin Monastery. The eyes, lips, incline of the head and even the right hand raised to deliver a blessing to all. 18  Tai O is a popular tourist spot in Lantau Island, as it has its unique culture and natural environment, a lot of tourists would like to go and visit there.  Tai O is famous for its fishing village scenery, such as fishing boats, waterways and stilt houses, theses historical settings have been retained in nowadays.  The fishing village setting, especially the stilt houses is probably the most important feature which makes Tai O attractive to local and international visitors.

19 Stilt houses are the special architectures in Tai O, in the past, the majority of population in Tai O worked either in farms or in the sea.
