Greetings  There are several different ways to greet people when speaking to them in Spanish  Similar to the English language, some greetings depend on the time of day in which you encounter someone  It is customary for people to hug and/or kiss on both cheeks (depending on what part of the Spanish-speaking world someone is from)

4. During the day  In the morning:  Buenos dias = Good Day, Good Morning

5. In the afternoon  Good afternoon = Buenas tardes

6. In the evening  Good evening = Buenas noches
