11 Food Security in Indonesia Indonesia has strong capital base in food security  Land resources: soil fertility, soil availability  Genetic resources and utilization: Mega-biodiversity, Staple food, Plantation crops, Livestock, microorganisms  food diversification  Water resources and management: Tropical rain forest  Human resources: Research Institutions in Agriculture, Universities, Skilled workers, experiences  How do these become a powerful tools to combat poverty and food insecurity?
