2. Praise God for the resilience, resourcefulness and competence of the Nepali people.

3. As communities pull together to help themselves, pray that aid organisations may assist them as they do this.

4. Thousands have been devastated by grief and loss. Pray for them as they mourn. Pray that the God of all comfort would be near, giving them peace and hope.

5. Pray that Christians would be resourced with wisdom & strength as they care for those that are suffering.

6. Pray that God would reveal Himself to all Nepalis as the one true Living God who hears, cares and loves them

7. The earthquake has disproportionately affected women, children, the elderly and the sick, because a huge proportion of men are migrant workers in India and elsewhere.

8. Tens of thousands have been injured. Pray for speedy medical attention so that conditions don’t worsen, particularly in remote villages.

9. Pray for continuing effective coordination between the local authorities, military and rescue teams.

10. Landslides have decimated 80% of many remote villages. Pray that relief will soon reach them.

11. Praise God that, in Kathmandu, Patan Hospital’s well- practiced contingency plans worked well and they were impressively able to meet the inundation of needs without requiring any foreign help.

12. Praise God for the proactivity and reach of the local churches which have been playing a key role in helping communities to recover, both physically and emotionally.

13. Pray for wisdom for the INF medical teams as they try to discern what areas they are most needed that don’t already have attention.

14. There are reports that entire villages in the hills are on the move to relocate to more urbanised areas such as Pokhara. Pray for the Pokhara Christian community as they respond to the influx

15. Pray for those working in NGOs, both Nepalis and expats. Many are dealing with physical and emotional exhaustion.

16. As news cycle moves on, pray that God would lay the ongoing needs of Nepal on the hearts of many so that they provide sustained support and resources.

17. Pray for peace that passes understanding, that all would know that even though the world is rocking, God has us in His hands.
