2  This newly-invented chainless bicycle comprises one frame, two wheels and two gear units. Each gear unit includes one pedal gear, odd number of idler gears, and one bearing gear. Odd number of idler gears are located between the pedal gear and bearing gear; therefore, it solves the problem of chain falling off, and features the advantages of simple structure, solid parts, and hard to damage; also the size and component layout is less limited.

3 Structure of Chainless Bicycle

4  The well-know bike driving method is that the rider pedals to revolve the pedal gear, and then drive a chain and a sprocket linked with rear wheel which drives the rear wheel. This structure is more complicated. Besides, this mechanism with chain driving has the shortcomings of weak parts, chain falling off, and easy to damage. Moreover, the pedal gear must be located away from the rear wheel; therefore, the size and component layout are more limited.

5 Structure of Auxiliary Wheel

6  The auxiliary wheel body comprises two auxiliary sprocket wheels, a gear assembly and an auxiliary rear folk, the gear assembly comprises two active gears and two passive gears, the auxiliary sprocket wheels are connected pivotally to both sides of the shaft of the auxiliary wheel, the active gears are connected pivotally to the auxiliary rear folk on both sides of the auxiliary wheel, the pedal mechanism of the auxiliary wheel body drives the active gears to drive the auxiliary sprocket wheels through the passive gears, and the auxiliary wheel is driven to rotate.

11  Twin-Frame Chainless Bicycle has a set of coupling bars. Four rows of perpendicularly- arranged springs lined between the bars. Therefore, the bicycle can lean with the primary bicycle and auxiliary wheel paralleled within a limited range to prevent overturn. Springs are interlaced between ends of joint configuration, which can resist deformation and therefore maintain the stability of both primary bicycle and auxiliary wheel bodies.

15  In case the primary bicycle and auxiliary wheel bodies encounter height discrepancy or are operated on uneven ground, for example, the ground level in which auxiliary bicycle located is higher than that of principal bicycle in the left side, the left end of coupling link will lean downwards as shown in the left exhibition. When this three-wheeled bicycle is turning, for instance, turning right, it shall be like that shown in the right exhibition.

17  The invented special bicycle for multiple persons to ride at the same time can be divided into two types. One of them is the tandem bicycle with seats in front-and-rear structure. The other type has seats in parallel structure. However, it cannot perform inclination action, implying that it cannot make speedy turns. When it runs on rough and uneven surface, it may even overturn. Twin-Frame Chainless Bicycle has the merits of both types, which refer to the dexterity in the control of seats in front-and-rear structure as well as the friendship building and entertaining effects of seats in parallel structure, but has no defect of the two types.
