1 WELCOME TO: Wait List Procedures Your guide on how to view and input Wait List Presented by LSF Health Systems October 2014

2 The Purpose of the Wait List To track clients who need to be placed in a MH/SA program that is not available at the time the client is ASSESSED and READY for treatment. The Primary Goal To place clients into the appropriate treatment as soon as possible in order to achieve a successful outcome.

3 Timeframes Once the client is assessed, if he/she has not been placed into the appropriate treatment by the following time, they must go on the Wait List:  48 Hours  4 Days`  14 Days Pregnant Women (PC)ResidentialIV Drug Users (PC) DetoxOutpatient Intervention Methadone

4 DCF Pamphlet 155-2 Requirements  Incarcerated clients are NOT counted unless their ONLY CONDITION for being released is admission into a Substance Abuse program.  Only Prevention and Non-Client Specific Services are EXEMPT from the Waitlist.  Each client must have supporting documentation maintained in a file SEPARATE FROM client’s clinical record in order to verify what is being reported on the Wait List.

5 MORE DCF Pamphlet 155-2 Requirements Substance Abuse Waitlist Require:  Face to face screening with a supporting ASAM  Documented contact must take place no less than every 30 days.  If there’s no contact for 30 days, remove client from the Wait List.

6 Understanding the Information on the Screen The following are screen shots with helpful tips and guides as to how to navigate through each of the screens. There are 3 Wait List Screens that we will go over: 1.Wait List Summary 2.Consumer(s) on Wait List 3.Add Consumer To Wait List

7 1. Wait List Summary The Wait List Summary provides you with a total number of clients who are currently on your Wait List categorized by AMH, ASA, CMH, CSA Service Types. The following screens will show you how to access the Summary.

8 Wait List Summary Lsfhealthsystems website:  Click Clinical Management tab  Click Waitlist tab  Click Wait List Summary tab

9 Wait List Summary You can toggle between Details & Summary by clicking here.

10 2. Consumers on Wait List The Consumers on Wait List screen shows the details of all consumers on your Wait List. The following screens will show you how to access the Consumers on the Wait List screens.

12 Consumer(s) on Wait List PAM 155-2 requires capturing interim services which can be input in the comments.

13 3. Adding Consumers to a Wait List The following screen details how to add consumers to your Wait List.

15 Adding a Consumer to a Wait List If you don’t know the middle initial, just put an “x”. PAM 155-2 requires capturing interim services which can be input in the comments.
