2 Read the leaflet together…. What do you notice about how it is organised? What person is it written in – 1 st, 2 nd or 3 rd ? What clues are there to help you? What tense is it written in - past, present or future? What clues are there to help you?

3 In pairs, can you find and label; Introductory paragraph Title – what do you notice about it? Conclusion Now, can you circle any subject specific words (technical words)

7 LI: To write an explanation leaflet about recycling glass Steps to Success… - Write in sentences using Capital Letters and full stops. - Use connectives, such as; and, because - Include a questioning title about ‘Recycling’ - Write in a chronological sequence (order of events) - Use connectives, such as; and, but, then, so - to indicate order - Use pronouns – they, it, those - Write in the present tense (it is happening now) - Include an introduction and concluding sentence - Write your ideas in paragraphs - Use 3rd person - Include commas for lists and clauses -Use technical vocabulary
