Photographs of two famous square based pyramids are shown. Work through the tasks below to create ORTHOGRAPHIC DRAWINGS and a TRUE SHAPE of one side of the pyramid shown. TASK 2A - orthographics Complete the ORTHOGRAPHIC DRAWING of the pyramid by drawing the END ELEVATION and then the PLAN. The Louvre, PARIS The GIZA plateau, EGYPT TASK 2B – true shape Follow the steps below to complete the true shape drawing of the sloping face of the pyramid. Steps 1 and 3 have been completed. choose a view which shows the sloping surface as a single line. project lines at 90O to this surface. draw the datum line at 90O to the projection lines. draw the datum line on the plan. take sizes from the datum line on the plan. darken lines to show the true shape of the surface. A pictorial view and photograph of a pyramidal candle are shown. The company producing the candle would like a label to surround the candle whilst leaving a gap at the top to leave the wick exposed. Complete the ORTHOGRAPHIC DRAWING, TRUE SHAPE of the hole which will be cut from the pyramid to create the label and DEVELOPMENT of the label.
