1 2/4/09 BR- Why are children not usually put in jail for acts such as murder? Today: Designing Your Own Law & Order Episode

2 Assignment: 45 Points Its almost impossible to turn on the TV and not see some form of the show Law & Order (Law & Order CI, Law & Order SVU, Law & Order-Animal Kingdom..) For this assignment you will make your own Law & Order Episode. If its good enough we might even submit it to the show..

3 How Each episode need to have an interesting story (its ok, to use actual events as the basis of your episode-That way, its “ripped from the headlines.”) You must also include: 1.A Crime with all of the correct elements. It can be a crime against the person or property. 2.One of the 4 types of criminal defenses.

4 My Grade Do you correctly use the crime and its elements. Do you correctly use the defense and its elements Example- Your story describes a person who accidentally kills someone but you charge them with 1 st degree murder. Be creative! Its ok to share ideas with classmates but you must write your own story. If nothing else, use one from TV!
