2 Truth Is Truth Many people assume that believing in God, following Jesus, and trusting the Bible is a big waste of time We live in a pluralistic, tolerant, alternative-lifestyle 21 st Century But, the truth of God’s word has gone unchanged for 2,000 years! Don’t be discouraged; take a stand!

3 Truth Is Truth regardless of the critical person’s prestige All the degrees and academic achievements cannot argue truth into falseness Education has its place, but education does not validate truth Be respectful and friendly toward the educated, but not intimidated John 7:48-49; Romans 3:3-4; 1 Corinthians 1:18,26,27; 3:19

4 Truth Is Truth regardless of the number of voices raised in opposition “Nobody believes __________ anymore.” Truth is in no way tied to numbers. Truth is true, even if no one believes it. Error is wrong even if everyone believes it. Exodus 23:2; Matt. 27:22-26

5 Truth Is Truth regardless of the length of time unbelief has persisted “__________ has been around many years.” Truth is timeless! Truth does not have an expiration date! 1 Peter 1:24-25

6 Truth Is Truth regardless of the argument’s sophistication Scholarly objections to Bible truth can be complex Many are deceived like Eve (Gen. 3:1-6): doubt, denial, deception, disobedience, death Proverbs 14:12

7 Truth Is Truth regardless of scientific discoveries Scientists can be wrong and have been wrong Scientific “theories” are not fact, but theory Be patient, trust God’s word 1 Timothy 6:20-21

8 Truth Is Truth regardless of Christian hypocrisy Many so-called “Christians” acting hypocritically have turned many away from the truth Hypocrites will have their day (Mt. 24:51) But, truth comes from God’s word, not Christian living John 17:17; Galatians 1:11

9 Truth Is Truth regardless of Christian apathy Many so-called “Christians” have stopped obeying the Lord But, we must still preach truth when others have stopped asking for it Isaiah 59:4,14-15; 2 Timothy 4:2-4

10 Stand For Truth Stand, in God’s wisdom not man’s (1 Cor. 2:5) Stand, united together (Phil. 1:27) Stand, girded with truth (Eph. 6:14) Stand, holding to God’s word ( 2 Thess. 2:15)
