18. OIL PENETRATION TESTER Williams Type (RMPL-1019)
The instrument chamber has an orifice for holding the liquid medium and a clamping device for holding the material. Electronic Thermostat provided to keep the liquid at the desired temperature 35 ± 1 degree C. Penetration time after oil comes in contact with paper is noted by stop watch or electronic timer. VALLEY BEATER is intended for testing disintegration, beating or mixing of pulp under standardized conditions.
A measured amount of pulp of specified stock concentration is beaten between the bars of the roll and the bedplate of a valley beater. Samples of beaten pulp are taken at certain intervals during the beating and formed test sheets from samples are applied under standard tests.
