3 Repairing Microsoft Dynamics CRM
Repairing Microsoft Dynamics CRM Server performs the following tasks: Repairing the Microsoft Dynamics CRM Server installation Restoring all Microsoft Dynamics CRM program files Re-registering components with your Windows operating system Replacing Registry keys as needed Republishing all the default reports Removing any custom reports 3 of 18

4 Repairing Microsoft Dynamics CRM
Before repairing Microsoft Dynamics CRM it is recommended that you perform the following tasks: Back up any custom reports you have created. Run the Microsoft Dynamics CRM Server Setup program, by using Add or Remove Programs. When the Microsoft Dynamics CRM Server Setup Wizard starts, select the Repair option. NOTE: Refer to the Microsoft Dynamics CRM Installation Guide for information about how to back up Microsoft Dynamics CRM. 4 of 18

5 Repair Microsoft Dynamics CRM
Repairing Microsoft Dynamics CRM Server includes the following tasks: Restoring all Microsoft Dynamics CRM program files Re-registering components with your Windows operating system Replacing Registry keys as needed Republishing all the default reports Removing any custom reports NOTE: The user who installed Microsoft Dynamics CRM for Outlook, must perform the repair procedure. 5 of 18

6 Repair Microsoft Dynamics CRM for Office Outlook with Offline Access
Before repairing a Microsoft Dynamics CRM for Office Outlook with Offline Access, make sure the client has gone online to synchronize any offline database updates with the Microsoft Dynamics CRM Server Run the Microsoft Dynamics CRM for Outlook Setup program through Add or Remove Programs When the Microsoft Dynamics CRM for Outlook Setup Wizard starts, select the Repair option. NOTE: Repairing the Microsoft Dynamics CRM for Office Outlook may require restarting the computer. 6 of 18

7 Repair the Microsoft Dynamics CRM E-mail Router
Microsoft Dynamics CRM Router Maintenance lets you to select to repair the Microsoft Dynamics CRM Router installation. During the repair process, you can troubleshoot any error warnings that appear by using Help. Setup will repair the Microsoft Dynamics CRM e mail router and components. 7 of 18

8 Disable a Multilingual User Interface (MUI) Pack
When you disable a Multilingual User Interface (MUI) pack, users cannot display the Microsoft Dynamics CRM user interface and Help Language in the associated Language-Pack language. NOTE: The MUI pack can be enabled by clicking the language in the Language Settings list. 8 of 18

9 Uninstall Microsoft Dynamics CRM Server
Two options for uninstalling Microsoft Dynamics CRM: Uninstall Microsoft Dynamics CRM program files but leave the CRM data intact. This lets you to reinstall Microsoft Dynamics CRM and have access to all previous data. Uninstall all Microsoft Dynamics CRM program files, data, and other system configuration items. This results in a completely clean system as far as Microsoft Dynamics CRM and its data is concerned. NOTE: Organizations uninstall Microsoft Dynamics CRM but leave the data intact when they plan to reinstall Microsoft Dynamics CRM and use the existing Microsoft Dynamics CRM database. 9 of 18

10 Uninstall Microsoft Dynamics CRM Server Part 2
Possible exceptions to the Microsoft Dynamics CRM data being left Intact, include the following: Microsoft Dynamics CRM for Office Outlook data from a computer working offline. If Microsoft Dynamics CRM for Outlook was not synchronized to the server before Microsoft Dynamics CRM server is uninstalled, any changes that were made to the client offline are lost. Custom reports. Before uninstalling Microsoft Dynamics CRM or the Connector for Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services, back up custom reports. 10 of 18

11 Uninstall Microsoft Dynamics CRM Server Part 4
Consider the following when uninstalling Microsoft Dynamics CRM: Uninstalling Microsoft Dynamics CRM Uninstalling Microsoft Dynamics CRM removes all of the Microsoft Dynamics CRM program files, services, registry keys, and so on. Does not touch the Microsoft Dynamics CRM data stored in SQL Server and Active Directory NOTE: See the steps provided in the training manual to delete the Microsoft Dynamics CRM databases. 11 of 18

12 Reinstall Microsoft Dynamics CRM
There are two key points to be aware of during the setup process: During the Microsoft Dynamics CRM Server installation, select Connect to Existing Databases and specify the existing Microsoft Dynamics CRM databases that were left intact following the previous uninstall of Microsoft Dynamics CRM. Select a SQL Server and Web server in the same domain because using SQL Server and Web servers across domains is not supported for Microsoft CRM 12 of 18

13 Uninstall Microsoft Dynamics CRM E-Mail Router
Considering the following when uninstalling the Microsoft Dynamics CRM Router: Uninstalling the Microsoft Dynamics CRM Router does not delete the message rules put in each Microsoft Dynamics CRM user‘s mailbox. These rules must be deleted from each user's inbox manually. 13 of 18

14 Uninstall Connector for Microsoft SQL Reporting Services
The Connector for Microsoft Dynamics SQL Reporting Services must be installed and uninstalled independently from the Microsoft Dynamics CRM Server. 14 of 18

15 Uninstall an Multilingual User Interface (MUI) Pack
It is important to note the following, when uninstalling an MUI pack: If you uninstall an MUI pack, you must reinstall the MUI pack and then enable it before it is available to users. If a language selected by users through Personal Preferences form is uninstalled or disabled, the language will automatically default to the base language. EXAMPLE: A Microsoft Dynamics CRM deployment has English as the base language and has deployed the Spanish MUI pack to the organization. The system administrator disables (or uninstalls) the Spanish MUI pack in the Language Settings form. Then, any user who has selected the Microsoft Dynamics CRM user interface as Spanish will display in English the next time that the user logs on. 15 of 18

16 Uninstall Microsoft Dynamics CRM for Outlook
Uninstalling the Microsoft Dynamics CRM for Outlook must be performed by the installation user. Uninstall the Microsoft Dynamics CRM for Outlook using Add or Remove Programs Delete the Microsoft Dynamics CRM folder (default location is in Program Files). Delete the database folder (and files) located at: <systemdrive>:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\MSSQL$CRM. 16 of 18
