With the IC Controls technology the Hydroxide is consumed at exactly the same rate it is produced at the anode. Therefore, the electrolyte concentration remains constant and reduces electrode drift. Historically, this was a difficult process with creases being formed in the membrane and air bubbles in the fill solution, which cause false high readings.
