Materials and processes qualification of depending on the standards applied in each domain (industry). Standardization of Direct Manufacturing by formalizing the best practices (tools/materials/processes)

8. Thematic groups of the FDM working group   Technologies group This group deals with the information exchanges and work related to direct manufacturing technologies : Selective Projection or Melting. The work content is related to the different technologies of the machines, to their capability in terms of materials, geometry, … and also to the process control technics and prediction of part quality.   Materials group This group focuses its activity on the materials used in the additive manufacturing technologies, especially on powders. The supply of the feedstock materials is an important issue to consider, as an aspect fully integrated to the manufacturing chain.   « Call for projects » group This group is in charge of monitoring, collecting and transfering information to the working group members about call for projects related to direct manufacturing at regional, national, european or international levels.
