11.  Music  Ludwig van Beethoven –  German Composer; composed music to stir deep emotions (just as poetry was intended to);  Beethoven was the first composer to fully use the broad range of instruments in a modern orchestra.

17.  1870s – “An artistic movement intended to capture the first fleeting impression made by an object on the viewer’s eye.”  Artists:  Claude Monet  Vincent van Gogh (“postimpressionist”)
