Know the importance of exercise and what constitutes appropriate exercise in different contexts 2.1 Outline the benefits to heart and lung efficiency of raising heart rate through regular exercise 2.2 Compare the advantages and disadvantages of three different types of exercise 2.3 Suggest suitable forms of exercise for three different categories of exerciser, e.g. An over-weight, middle aged office worker, a healthy twenty-five-year- old woman, an elderly man, giving reasons for the choices made 3. Be able to evaluate local opportunities for promoting physical well- being 3.1 List three opportunities available locally which can promote physical well-being 3.2 Produce a report on the potential value of each in promoting physical well-being 4.
