3 Answer the Question Evaluate the most important factors that a school should consider before using particular technologies in curriculum and instruction. Evaluate – to judge or determine the significance, worth, or quality. Factors – Make a claim about factors, not about technology in general. Most important – Make sure you choose the most important reasons. Is handwriting so important? Explain why your factors are so important to consider.

4 Take a position Don’t be afraid to take a position State your claim boldly “I think that technology is not good for students.” “One thinks that technology is not good for students.” “Technology is not good for students.” “Some say that using technology is bad. Others say that it is good,” is not a claim.

6 Link Back to your Central Claim Evidence - According to Source C, it says, “…Will they be able to discern cause and effect, put together a coherent story line, think scientifically, read a book with a single argument rather than a set of essays?” Link - This would be really bad if children would need the help of a technology device to read a book and even think for them. If school don’t take this into consideration students would not be able to think or explain something without technology.

But suppose U.S. public high schools could afford the newest technology for there students. It isn’t just that a flat fee. Other costs to be considered are the dowloads of all necessary textbooks and/or information. Also costs to keep them working smoothly or replacing the device.”
