6 Instruction Task Select 1-3 unedited video clips totaling no more than 15 minutes of instruction demonstrating: o Instruction focused on targeted learning objectives o Presentations and/or interactions with students that deepen student understanding o Interactions among students that show teacher candidate facilitating deeper student understanding Instruction commentary 2-4 pages describing and reflecting on teaching strategies demonstrated in the clip(s)

15 Consequences for candidates Certification depends on a total score of 35 or above (out of a possible 75) Will be evaluated in FIVE areas: o Planning o Instruction o Assessment o Reflection o Academic language o Not included: Student voice (3 rubrics; 16-18)
