Jeff Walker - jeff@sixinseven.comProductLaunchFormula.com Your LIFE vs. Your BUSINESS

Jeff Walker - jeff@sixinseven.comProductLaunchFormula.com Yearly Planning Starts with your life roles Here are some of my life roles: – Father – Husband – Son – Entrepreneur – Health and outdoors – Athlete – Community Member – Friend – Spiritual

Jeff Walker - jeff@sixinseven.comProductLaunchFormula.com First Step Review your year (and life) –Look at your various “roles” Did well / do differently –Keep what works. Get rid of the rest.

Jeff Walker - jeff@sixinseven.comProductLaunchFormula.com So what is your vision for each of your roles? ** The more vivid and real that you make your “vision”, the more successful you will be at achieving it.

Jeff Walker - jeff@sixinseven.comProductLaunchFormula.com Energy vs. Dark Chocolate

Jeff Walker - jeff@sixinseven.comProductLaunchFormula.com Perspective The Death Clock –Google “Death Clock” –Deathclock.com –FindYourFate.com/deathmeter/deathmter.html How many springs do you have? How many summer vacations? How many ski seasons? How many family vacations?

Jeff Walker - jeff@sixinseven.comProductLaunchFormula.com Two Bad Words “Hope” and “Try”

Jeff Walker - jeff@sixinseven.comProductLaunchFormula.com Vision How-To “Goals” are how “Visions” become reality For each role, write down the ACTIONS that you need to take to make the vision reality. Those actions are GOALS. I am usually generating three to eight goals in each area.

Jeff Walker - jeff@sixinseven.comProductLaunchFormula.com More How-To Big sheet of paper (from a flip chart pad) – so I can see all the goals. I turn it into a mindmap. Connect the dots. Make the GOALS measurable

Jeff Walker - jeff@sixinseven.comProductLaunchFormula.com Tools Journal Whiteboard Flip chart pads

Jeff Walker - jeff@sixinseven.comProductLaunchFormula.com Software Calendar / Scheduling Software Mind Map Software –My choice: Mindmanager Pro – from Mindjet.com, $350 (basic version: $230) –Freeware: Freemind – available at http://freemind.sourceforge.net

Jeff Walker - jeff@sixinseven.comProductLaunchFormula.com A plan for a BIG Life On the first pass, you will end up with a LOT of goals. The Ying and Yang of goals. Time for a reality check. Check against your calendar… –Vacations –Holidays –Planned events and travel Sketch out your plan on your calendar

Jeff Walker - jeff@sixinseven.comProductLaunchFormula.com Monthly Goals Driven by yearly goals Created the beginning of each month. Starts with a review of the previous month.

Jeff Walker - jeff@sixinseven.comProductLaunchFormula.com Goals Use whatever system works best for you. It’s important that they are “visible” in your day-to-day life. Don’t beat yourself up. Remember: worked well / do differently.

Jeff Walker - jeff@sixinseven.comProductLaunchFormula.com Product Launches and Promotions Everything takes longer than expected. Two ways to plan: –ASAP –Date based Critical path. All major launches have the launched date moved out.

Jeff Walker - jeff@sixinseven.comProductLaunchFormula.com The Crux Moves Graphics Merchant accounts Getting physical product created Working with JV partners ahead of the launch

Jeff Walker - jeff@sixinseven.comProductLaunchFormula.com Graphics First 80% is easy. Last 20% is what takes the time. Text, text, text. Make sure you have the right designer.

Jeff Walker - jeff@sixinseven.comProductLaunchFormula.com Merchant accounts Start early, stay in contact. Redundancy is good.

Jeff Walker - jeff@sixinseven.comProductLaunchFormula.com Physical Products Review process… budget for at least two iterations in your time line. Have your designer ready and waiting during your proofing process. Disk.com – Cindy Tonne, cindy@disk.com. Tell her I sent you.cindy@disk.com Expect the proof and review process to take two weeks. Professional photos take at least another week.

Jeff Walker - jeff@sixinseven.comProductLaunchFormula.com JV Partners Start early. Give them lots of notice. Stay in touch. Budget time during the launch.

Jeff Walker - jeff@sixinseven.comProductLaunchFormula.com Marketing Calendar What are your promotions going to be this year? What are key dates and seasons? Christmas? Summer? Valentines? What are you going to do each month to drive more prospects into your business and make more sales to your prospects?

Jeff Walker - jeff@sixinseven.comProductLaunchFormula.com A Few More Tools… Roboform – roboform.com, saves me at least 10 minutes a day. Desktop search – free from either Google or Yahoo. Saves me another 10 minutes a day. Meditation – increased focus, it feels like it gives me a half hour a day. Book recommendation: Meditation Made Easy, by Lorin Roche.

Jeff Walker - jeff@sixinseven.comProductLaunchFormula.com On one slide… Your vision for your life drives everything. Identify your roles, and a vision for each role. Create yearly ACTION oriented goals for each role. Yearly goals drive your monthly goals. Review goals for what worked well and what you need to do differently.
