22. SUMMARY Hebrews 4:15 (ESV) For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but one who in every respect has been tempted as we are, yet without sin. Jesus took on our condition in becoming human. He was tempted in every way just as we are—yet without committing sin. He was sinless though severely tempted…He endured real temptation and lived totally triumphant without sin. Jesus not only delivers us but sympathizes with us in our weaknesses.

23. ECLECTIC NOTE: Jesus was tempted in everything that He would legitimately receive; provision, protection, and exalted as Lord over all the nations. THE ISSUE was the source of the promise.
