The strategic marketing approach will focus on influencing and communicating to three key audiences:
Policymakers, adult educators, and test center administrators
Adult learners, test-takers, and the general public
Media
The marketing approach to each audience will be built upon three pillars:
Reputation: CTB has a long history as a leader in adult basic education, has a strong reputation of research integrity, has the requisite experience delivering large-scale, high-stakes assessment solutions, and is very involved in developing the next generation of assessments for the Common Core.
Flexibility: TASC can be administered online or paper-and-pencil; can be administered at states’ own test centers, and provides a reasonable and seamless transition to the Common Core.
Affordability: TASC is much less expensive than Pearson’s GED and is cost-competitive with the ETS’ HiSET.
