4 DoE Review June 6-7, 2000 Move Platform West, Pick Up End Irons July 11-28, 2000  Fiber Tracker installed, south end calorimeter back in place on platform  Platform moves west to pick up two end irons  Detector buttoned up for move  Commissioning interrupted until platform returns east (services disconnected)

6 DoE Review June 6-7, 2000 North & South Trusses Move to Sidewalk July 31 – August 25, 2000  Platform returns to east position with end irons installed  North & south trusses, shielding brought down to sidewalks from Hi Bay, assembled  Detector remains buttoned up until trusses are down  Cabling of Fiber Tracker begins after south truss is in place  Platform services reconnected, commissioning resumes

7 DoE Review June 6-7, 2000 North & South Trusses Move to Sidewalk July 31 – August 25, 2000  Platform returns to east position with end irons installed  North & south trusses brought down to sidewalks  South calorimeter, end iron opens to allow cabling of Fiber Tracker  A-layer north pixel sheet mounted on shield wall, awaits installation

8 DoE Review June 6-7, 2000 A- & C-layer Pixels & MDTs Installed November 10, 2000  A- and C-layer detectors mounted  SMT-S installed, hooked up – SMT-N being installed  Trusses ready to install in Collision Hall  South calorimeter, end irons open to allow access to inter-cryostat region  Commissioning of CFT, SMT, Forward and Central Muon, attendant readout

9 DoE Review June 6-7, 2000 Trusses Installed in Collision Hall Nov 20 – Dec 11, 2000  North & south ends of shield wall removed, blocks stacked in Hi Bay  Loaded trusses rolled into Collision Hall, surveyed  Platform remains in Assembly Hall, rolled in after trusses in place  Commissioning of detectors on platform continues

10 DoE Review June 6-7, 2000 Trusses Installed in Collision Hall Nov 20 – Dec 11, 2000  Mounting of B-layer MDTs on outer faces of end irons near completion  North B-layer pixel plane assembled on shield wall  End cryostats/irons open as logistics allow  Cosmic ray commissioning & triggering using SMT, CFT, and muon

11 DoE Review June 6-7, 2000 Detector Rolled in and Hooked Up February 16, 2001  Platform rolled in to meet trusses  Full detector in final closed position: hooked up, ready for beam  Shield wall back up  Movable Counting House travels with detector, cable bridge down  Commissioning with cosmic rays continues until beam is delivered (March 1, 2001)

15 DoE Review June 6-7, 2000 Trusses Assembled on North & South Sidewalks July 21 – August 25, 2000  Detector returns to east position with end irons installed  Trusses brought down from Hi Bay to sidewalks  Central irons, calorimeters remain closed for movement of trusses  Hookup of Fiber Tracker begins after south truss is in position  Commissioning resumes, begin integration of CFT

16 DoE Review June 6-7, 2000 Current Detector Configuration Phase I  A-layer MDTs, Pixels being mounted, surveyed onto faces of end irons  C-layer truss and shielding has arrived in Hi-Bay, being dressed  Remainder of detector remains open for access

17 DoE Review June 6-7, 2000 Current Detector Configuration  Commissioning continues, using Central Muon as prototype system: u Multi-crate readout of full central muon system u Event monitoring, crate control, steady DAQ running, filtering u Exercise reconstruction, online event display (on cosmic ray muons)

18 DoE Review June 6-7, 2000 Forward Muon B-Layer Installation May-June, 2000  A-layer planes installed  B-layer MDTs, Pixels being mounted, surveyed onto faces of end irons  C-layer trusses and shielding continue to be dressed in Hi-Bay

19 DoE Review June 6-7, 2000 Install Fiber Tracker in Solenoid May, 2000  Fiber Tracker + Cart/I-Beam system lowered into gap between South End Calorimeter and Central Calorimeter  Rolled into solenoid bore along I-Beam Fiber Tracker Cart System

20 DoE Review June 6-7, 2000 EMCs Installed in Collision Hall December 11, 2000 - January 11, 2001  Shield wall is broken down, moved to now free space in Hi-Bay  North and South C-layer trusses/shields, having been assembled on sidewalk, rolled into Collision Hall - surveyed into place  Detector will be rolled into place to meet trusses
