7 How to Prioritize? Make a list of all the tasks you need to complete. Determine the RED tasks Determine the YELLOW tasks Determine the GREEN tasks

8 RED tasks Tasks that must be down ASAP Things that would significantly and negatively impact your life if they weren’t done. Tasks that are completely time-bound Examples: ◦ Paying a bill that is due tomorrow ◦ Studying for a test tomorrow ◦ Missing homework ◦ Missing tests

9 YELLOW tasks Tasks that are important Tasks that if not done soon would impact your life. May have be less time-bound Examples: ◦ Completing homework due in a few days. ◦ Paying a bill. ◦ Mowing the lawn ◦ Project for school that are due next week

10 GREEN tasks Tasks that have a small impact on your life. Tasks that are less important, less vital for your life to go well. Examples: ◦ Getting to the next level in Big Buck Hunter ◦ Being first person in the lunch room ◦ Completing an assignment that was due last year. ◦ Painting your room
