How to Prioritize? Make a list of all the tasks you need to complete. Determine the RED tasks Determine the YELLOW tasks Determine the GREEN tasks

RED tasks Tasks that must be down ASAP Things that would significantly and negatively impact your life if they weren’t done. Tasks that are completely time-bound Examples: ◦ Paying a bill that is due tomorrow ◦ Studying for a test tomorrow ◦ Missing homework ◦ Missing tests

YELLOW tasks Tasks that are important Tasks that if not done soon would impact your life. May have be less time-bound Examples: ◦ Completing homework due in a few days. ◦ Paying a bill. ◦ Mowing the lawn ◦ Project for school that are due next week

GREEN tasks Tasks that have a small impact on your life. Tasks that are less important, less vital for your life to go well. Examples: ◦ Getting to the next level in Big Buck Hunter ◦ Being first person in the lunch room ◦ Completing an assignment that was due last year. ◦ Painting your room
