4 >>0 >>1 >> 2 >> 3 >> 4 >> William Fox was a pioneering American motion picture executive who founded the Fox Film Corporation in 1915 and the Fox West Coast Theatres chain in the 1920 ′ s. Although he sold his interest in these companies in a 1936 bankruptcy settlement, his name lives on as the namesake of the Fox Television Network and the 20th Century Fox film studio. He was among first pioneers of the motion-picture to entertain the entertainment industry.

As the controlling executive of Twentieth Century Fox, Zanuck produced such memorable films as The Grapes of Wrath (1940), How Green Was My Valley (1941). Zanuck resigned the presidency of Twentieth Century Fox in 1956. He returned six years later and engineered the financial recovery of the studio

Thalberg Memorial Award of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences for outstanding contributions to the industry. Zanuck’s most known movie “All About Eve”

7 >>0 >>1 >> 2 >> 3 >> 4 >> By the early 1960s Fox was in trouble. The most expensive movie ever made, Cleopatra (1963), has determined Fox to sell its back lot to raise money. The studio was shut down, the entire staff was laid off, and made a series of cheap, popular pictures that restored Fox as a major studio. An adaptation of the Rodgers and Hammerstein Broadway musical which became one of the all-time greatest box office hits.

8 >>0 >>1 >> 2 >> 3 >> 4 >> 20th Century Fox logo designed by famed landscape artist Emil Kosa, Jr. was originally created as a painting on several layers of glass and animated frame-by-frame. The 1994 CGI logo was also the first time that Twentieth Century Fox was recognized as "A News Corporation Company" in the logo. In 2009, an updated version was used to coincide with 20th Century Fox's 75th anniversary and made its official debut with Percy Jackson & the Olympians: The Lightning Thief.

In addition to its music from the ongoing production of dozens of films and television shows each year, Fox Music also controls almost a century's worth of great music from the rich history of 20th Century Fox. On the list appear Celine Dion’s “My heart will go on”(Titanic), Julie Andrews with “The song of music”, Elvis Presley’s “Love me tender”(Aura Lee) and Leona Lewis’s song “I see you”(Avatar).

10 >>0 >>1 >> 2 >> 3 >> 4 >> During the years, Fox produced such memorable movies as "The Grapes of Wrath" (1940), Star Wars (1977) - ranks as the fourth highest renting movie of all time; "Home Alone" (1990), Titanic (1997) - the highest-grossing movie of all time; X-men franchise (2000), the mega-hit Avatar (2009) -the highest-grossing film of all time in the U.S. and Canada, also worldwide, surpassing Titanic; and “The Black Swan” (2011) - received 12 nominations for the Oscar prices
