3 Beat Generation continued  Expressed this rebellion through literary works, particularly through loose structure and slang diction  Relied on experimentation, primitivism and inspiration from jazz

4 Beat Generation continued  Spiritual liberation, sexual “revolution” or “liberation”  Liberation of the world from censorship  Demystification of laws against drugs  Spread of ecological consciousness  Wanted to pull down all establishments of American life  Wanted to attack, disorganize, reorganize the structure of human sensitivity through revolutionary use of language
