5 Jefferson Davis: Jefferson Davis was the president of the confederate states. Born June.3.1808 Died Dec.6.1889 President from 1853-1857 Robert E. Lee: Born Jan.19.1807 Died Oct.12.1870 Lincoln invited Lee to join the union but lee declined because he wanted to stay with his home state.
