 Step 1: Make sure the bottom numbers (the denominators) are the same, if not find the LCM (Least Common Denominator).  Step 2: Add the top numbers (the numerators), put the answer over the denominator. If there is two fractions that have the same denominator then keep that number the same.  Step 3: Simplify the fraction (if needed). Page 3

 Step 1. Make sure the bottom numbers (the denominators) are the same if not find the LCM.  Step 2. Subtract the top numbers (the numerators). Put the answer over the same denominator.  Step 3. Simplify the fraction. Page 4

 1. Multiply the top numbers (the numerators).  2. Multiply the bottom numbers (the denominators).  3. Simplify the fraction if needed.Simplify Page 5

 Step 1. Turn the second fraction (the one you want to divide by) upside- down (this is now a reciprocal).reciprocal  Step 2. Multiply the first fraction by that reciprocalMultiply  Step 3. Simplify the fraction (if needed).Simplify Page 6

 Write down the numbers, one under the other, with the decimal points lined up.  Put in zeros so the numbers have the same length.  Then add normally, remembering to put the decimal point in the answer. Page 7

 Write down the two numbers, one under the other, with the decimal points lined up.  Add zeros so the numbers have the same length.  Then subtract normally, remembering to put the decimal point in the answer. Page 8

 Multiply normally, ignoring the decimal points.  Then put the decimal point in the answer - it will have as many decimal places as the two original numbers combined. Page 9

 Use Division or Long Division (ignoring the decimal point).Long Division  Then put the decimal point in the same spot as the dividend (the number being divided). Answer!! Page 10
