2 Millennium stadium This stadium is the national stadium of Wales. It is located in Cardiff. Actually, it is the largest football ground in the whole UK with being capable to let around 75.000 people to watch a game. In 1999, the Rugby World Cup was hosted in this stadium.

3 St. David’s Cathedral The St. David’s Cathedral is one of the oldest cathedrals in Britain. It is located in a tiny city also called St. David’s. The cathedral was the first time built in 1115, but with time passing by buildings got destroyed and other got new built or had been reconstructed.

4 Cardiff Docks Cardiff Docks is port in south Cardiff. Once, it had been one of the largest docking systems in the whole world. The construction of this port had been started at around 1800. 113 years later Cardiff Docks had become the biggest coal exporting dock around the world.

5 Cardiff Castle Cardiff Castle was constructed at around 1091. This castle has quit a lot of history, especially during medieval ages. In the 18 th century buildings and rooms were added. Today, concerts and other shows take in castle place, for example the band Green Day gave there a concert in 2002.

6 Cardiff Central Library The Cardiff Central Library is the main library in Cardiff. It contains more than 90.000 books and 10.000 CD/DVD. The building has 5 floors. The building was opened in 2009, after 98 weeks of building time.

7 Swansea Marina Swansea Marina is a marina in south Wales. It was opened in 1982, providing place for 385 boats. With the time, additional berths for boats were needed and added and in 2010 the total amount of berths had been increased to over 1000.

8 Plas Newydd Plas Newydd is a house at the border of Snowdonia. The history of the house dates back until 14 th and 15 th century. At the end of the 19 th century the house was used as an theater. Now the house is owned by the National Trust, because of this, the house is having also a tearoom and offers also historical cruises.

9 Cardiff Market Cardiff Market is a Victorian indoor shopping market in Cardiff, existing since 1891. The market has got two different shopping levels, one on the ground and a balcony level. Traders usually offer a variety of fresh foods and other products.

10 South Stack Lighthouse This lighthouse has warned ships since 1809. Since 1997, the lighthouse is again opened for public, and and thousands of people choose this opportunity. The lighthouse gives also the possibility to watch more than 4000 nesting birds in the near cliffs during breeding season.
