Sin No More… STEALING  Definition of Stealing:  to take the property of another without permission or right, secretly or by force  the wrongful taking and carrying away of the personal goods or property of another  Legal: to take or appropriate without right or consent and with intent to keep or make use of  thievery, smuggle, burglarize, rip off, rob  Thief, Burglar, Robber, Smuggler, Cheat

8. You Shall Not Steal  Exodus 20:1-17 –  “You shall not steal.”  Exodus 22:1-14 –  “If a man steals an ox or a sheep, and slaughters it or sells it, he shall restore five oxen for an ox and four sheep for a sheep.”

9. You Shall Not Steal  Leviticus 19:11-13 –  (11) “You shall not steal, nor deal falsely, nor lie to one another.”  (13) “You shall not cheat your neighbor, nor rob him. The wages of him who is hired shall not remain with you all night until morning.”

Conclusion  Stealing is sin & we must treat it that way.  Stealing is serious.  Steal involves harming our neighbor.  Stealing separates us from God, from God’s blessings, and from God’s promises.  Stealing will keep us out of heaven.  We are to work with our hands that we may be able to provide for our family & help another in need.  We are to love our neighbor as ourselves and seek to do good to all men.
