2 Data Collection Be sure that you get data for four of the SEX DETERMINATION tables. Use Proposition and Support language to discuss what you think the sex is. Make a final decision on the sex. Be sure that you have RACE determination data for the Skull and the Femur if applicable. Use Use Proposition and Support language to discuss what you think the race is. Make a final decision on the race.

3 Calculations for Height/Age
Complete calculations for the height based on the femur OR tibia and the humerus. Compare your calculations with that of other group members. Record your final height. ADVANCED – Reexamine the bones and determine the age based on the data.

4 Final Report - #15 of P1.2.3 Introduction: Provide a brief case description. Summary of Findings: Provide evidence and support for your findings for each trait - sex, ethnic origin, age and height. NOTE: You do not need to list every measurement/observation as evidence. Think about your analysis as a whole and describe how combined data led you to a conclusion. Discuss any inconsistencies in the data and address the limitations of these methods in determining identity.  Further Analysis: Read the FBI file on facial reconstruction at Discuss how this technique could be used in this case. Research and report on at least two other tests/types of analysis that can be completed using the bone samples. What can we learn from these tests? How can this information be used to identify the missing?  Conclusion: Sum up the case findings and your recommendations for the next steps of the investigation in 1-2 paragraphs

5 Proficient Example On August 28, 2012, some joggers discovered skeletal remains in Parktown Park. With a backlog of missing persons, it was crucial to come up with a preliminary identification of the bones. Our forensic anthropology team believes that the recovered bones are from a 25 year old, Asian female, between 5’3’’ and 5’5’’. Cause of death is not known at this time.
