2 MHS Modernization Study A study to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the MHS MEDCOM Analysis Ongoing MEDCOM’s Previous Decisions and TMA’s Next Ten Gold 4 Recommendations Portfolio Reviews Began with the ‘Small Hospital Study’ now reviewing the Next Ten (in Gold). Cups & Chips Cups = Markets Chips = Mil Prov. Auths. Goal: Fill fewest Cups with required Mil Providers considering Productivity & Market Share Ft. Stewart Ft. Benning Ft. Gordon Puget Sound eMSM SATX eMSM Bragg MSM Ft. Hood Co. Springs eMSM Hawaii eMSM Ft. Campbell Ft. Bliss Ft. Riley Ft. Sill Ft. Leonard Wood Maintain Inpatient Maintain some but not all Inpatient Determined by Portfolio Review (see above) Two concurrent approaches to be considered in the final Study recommendation
