2 REASONS FOR THE MOVE 1) SHARE COMMON SCHOOL DEMOGRAPHICS AND SPORTS HISTORY WITH THOSE ALREADY IN DISTRICT 9 2) CONSISTENCY OF OPPONENTS IN OUR LEAGUE 3) MORE OPPORTUNITIES FOR OUR STUDENT-ATHLETES AND TEAMS TO BE SUCCESSFUL 4) DISTRICT 9 COMMITTEE IS MORE WILLING TO LISTEN TO CONCERNS OF ALL SCHOOLS

3 1) SHARE COMMON SCHOOL DEMOGRAPHICS AND SPORTS HISTORY WITH THOSE ALREADY IN DISTRICT 9 a) WE ARE A RURAL SCHOOL WHOSE ATTENDANCE AREA COVERS A LOT OF AREA b) OUR STUDENTS TEND TO COME FROM MIDDLE TO LOW INCOME FAMILIES c) PRACTICE TIME IS A CONCERN DUE TO LIMITED FACILITIES AND DISTANCE PARENTS MUST TRAVEL TO BRING STUDENT- ATHLETES BACK TO THE SCHOOL d) MAJORITY OF DISTRICT 9 SCHOOLS ARE SIMILAR TO US IN TERMS OF STUDENT ENROLLMENT e) WE SHARE A COMMON PAST HAVING BEEN PART OF THE ALLEGHENY MOUNTAIN FOOTBALL LEAGUE, AL-KIN LEAGUE AND THE OLD TCAC (WHICH MOST SCHOOLS HAVE NOW JOINED DISTRICT 9)

THERE ARE ALSO SOME PRIVATE MIDDLE SCHOOLS WHICH ARE MEMBERS OF DISTRICT 9.

5 2) CONSISTENCY OF OPPONENTS IN OUR LEAGUE a) CURRENT VARSITY COACHES WOULD LIKE TO SEE US IN A LEAGUE PLAYING SCHOOLS OF COMMON SIZE (SMALL SCHOOL – “A” OR “AA”) AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE b) CURRENT VARSITY COACHES AND A FORMER ATHLETIC DIRECTOR HAVE SAID THAT THEY WOULD LIKE TO SEE EISENHOWER IN A LEAGUE WITH AS MANY COMMON OPPONENTS AS POSSIBLE FOR EACH SPORT THUS CREATING A SENSE OF BELONGING AND ESTABLISHING RIVALRIES CURRENT DISTRICT 10 REGIONS BY FALL SPORT i.
