3.  You attend the ceremony free of charge (but you must confirm your intention to attend)  You are initially entitled to purchase a maximum of two guest tickets › £24 for the Chapel › £12 for the Picture Gallery (ceremony streamed via widescreen monitors)  Booking site opens towards the end of March 2012  Tickets are not guaranteed — first come first served  You need a parking permit (request one when you confirm attendance and don’t forget to bring it)  On your booking state if your guests have any special needs and how we can accommodate them  Deadline for confirming attendance and purchasing guest tickets is May 2012 (exact date to be confirmed)  Any unsold tickets will then be available for purchase on a first come first served basis

4.  Academic dress › Black gown › Hood › Hat › Pre-order online from J Wippell & Co Ltd at www.wippellgownhire.co.uk www.wippellgownhire.co.uk  Wear smart clothing beneath the gown (no jeans or trainers)  Wear shoes you can walk in — you will have to go up and down concrete steps and a sloping ramp  Wear a buttoned blouse/shirt and/or bring safety pins — makes it easier to attach the hood to clothing so it stays in place  You will not be able to carry handbags and personal belongings during the ceremonies

5. 1.30 Ceremony 4.30 Ceremony 10.45am- 12.30pm 1.45pm- 3.30pm Register in The Windsor Building and collect guest tickets Collect gowns from the robing room (Have photo taken if time to avoid queues later) 12.30pm- 1.00pm 3.30pm- 4.00pm Go to Windsor Building Auditorium Guests go to the Chapel or Picture Gallery to take their seats (go early to get a good seat) 1.20pm4.20pm All guests to be seated in the Chapel or Picture Gallery, according to ticket type. 1.20pm4.20pm Graduands leave the Windsor Auditorium and process through Picture Gallery to Chapel 1.30pm4.30pmCeremony commences 2.30pm5.30pm Ceremony ends with recessions Graduands and guests move to the South Quadrangle for the departmental receptions

6.  Principal’s procession  Welcome speech  Graduands’ procession › Leaves the Windsor Auditorium › Processes through the Picture Gallery and Chapel › Enters the Health Centre via the Chapel back entrance › Enters the North Quadrangle and stops at the side entrance to the Chapel

7.  You will be told when to enter the Chapel, upon entering › Hand your name card to the official at the side of the stage › Your name will be announced › You will be presented to the Principal who will shake your hand and present you with an Alumni scroll › You then leave the stage, exit the Chapel via the main doors, and recess back through the Picture Gallery

8.  You wait for your guests in the North Quadrangle where you can view the remainder of the ceremony on plasma screens  Principal’s closing address  Principal’s Recession

9.  Reception in the South Quadrangle of Founder’s building
