The Sallie Southall Cotten Scholarship The Sallie Southall Cotten Scholarship is awarded each year to an outstanding graduate of an accredited North Carolina High School who will be attending any of the state-supported universities. The candidate is judged on several qualifications that include scholastic record, intellectual promise, and demonstration of ambition, leadership ability and the need for financial assistance.
