4 Make a new year’s resolution, stay healthy for 2015, and prevent the spread of infection! Wash hands frequently, disinfect frequently touched surfaces, and cough into your sleeve or elbow! Stay home if your temperature is over 100 degrees and don’t return to school until you’ve been free of the fever for 24 hours.

20  STEP is a summer program for rising seniors. Students would attend one of 4 one-week sessions to learn more about different opportunities in Textile Design, Apparel Design, Polymer Chemistry, Textile Engineering, or Business Management.  Applications due May  See Mrs. Conner for more details

21  The State Farm Good Neighbor Scholarship is looking for students who are leaders and volunteers in their communities and who demonstrate financial need. Applicants must be 2015 graduating seniors with a cumulative GPA between a 2.5 and 3.2 in a 4.0 scale who plan to enroll full-time for the school year at a credited 2 or 4 year college, university, or vocational/ technical school. Students must be a U.S. citizen

26  The Charlotte “Queen City” Chapter of North Carolina Agriculture and Technical State University Alumni Association has established a scholarship program for the student(s) attending North Carolina Agriculture and Technical State University. There will four $500 awards to incoming freshman. All applications must be received by March 31 st to be considered for this scholarship. Students must has a GPA of 3.0 and must live in Charlotte Metro area. Visit

27  Allegacy Federal Credit Union is pleased to offer scholarship opportunities for its members. The annual Mel Hudges Scholarship Fund is available to graduating high school seniors and currently enrolled college students. Students must be attending either a four year college or university or community/ technical school. To be eligible, a student must be a primary member of Allegacy.
