4 Where have you read, seen, or heard about this debate in movies, TV shows, or literature?

5 How has this debate of fate vs. free will can play out in the real world, even in our own lives:

6 We are going to read this article closely: Step 1 – Number the paragraphs. Step 2 – Chunk the text (i.e. paragraphs 1-3, 4-5, etc.) Step 3 – Underline any claims (belief statements the author is making) Circle any confusing terms or words you do not know. Step 4 – Left margin – What is the author saying? Summarize each chunk. Step 5 – Right margin – Use a power verb to describe what the author is doing and how he is doing it. You can also ask a question.

7 YOUR ASSINGMENT: Begin writing a 2-3 page typed essay on fate vs. free will. You can use the article, or you can find other information to back up your opinion. You MUST cite any article you use and create a Works Cited. This is DUE March 3 rd A Day and March 4 th B Day
