3 DUCKSDucks feet are set far apart, therefore the grasp with the fist must adjust for comfort. With one hand on the chest over the wing, the second hand securing the legs in a fist, ducks will settle down and allow handling in a short time. Gently rubbing the neck seems to calm the duck. Applying gentle pressure to the bill exposes the lower hinged jaw (Mandible), the ridges (lamellae) for collecting food, and its tongue.
