Sweden is considered one of the most beautiful places in Scandinavia, surrounded by the Baltic sea on the west,south and east coast. The longest south to north distance is 1,574 km. 3 Stockholm Stockholm being the capital of Sweden, is located on the East coast of Sweden. The city has a population of 800,000 inhabitants. Stockholm is also known as one of the worlds most gorgeous cities, that is build on 14 island where lakes encounter the sea. Stockholm has a 10 century history and culture. 4 Stockholm Archipelago The Stockholm archipelago is body of 30.000 islands and rocks stretching 8O km out of Stockholm into the Baltic Sea. 5 Icehotel Being the largest hotel in the world made by ice, the Ice hotel is located in Jukkasjärv, with an area of 5,500 square meters. The Ice hotel complex includes an Ice church and a big bar entirely made out of ice.. It is build every year in November -December and it melts in April-May. 6 Göteborg(Gothenburg) On the west side of sweden you will find Gothenburg,the capital of west Sweden. Gothenburg with a population of 500,000 people it is the 2nd largest city in Sweden. Here you can discover a variety of canals, countless green open spaces and you will also find Sweden’s biggest botanic garden, with 16,000 different species. Immerse yourself in the Swedish lifestyle, with long “fikas” at outdoor cafés or check out the appetizing food market. 7 Kosterhavet You will find Sweden’s first marine national park Kosterhavet in Bohus län (Swedish word for county). Kosterhavet consists of sea and it is centered by the car- free koster islands, located on the west coast of Sweden bordering Norway. It is only a 2 hour drive from Göteborg (Gothenburg). 8 Göta Kanal Stretching west to east, between two large cities in sweden, Göta canal is one of Sweden’s most popular tourist attractions. You can travel 614 km by boat on it small wonderful canals between Gothenburg-Söderköping and then out to the baltic sea. Göta canal is the largest construction projects ever undertaken Sweden build in 1810-1832. It has 58 locks.
