1. Called by God despite everything Exodus 2 verses 1-15a and 3 verses 1-12 Acts chapter 7 is a summary 1. God can use our past! God can use us despite our past & because of our past. For what are you thankful? What is there in your personality and character you need to address and seek change?

2. 2. God wants us to work in partnership with Him in doing his work and in growing our character. In what areas of character do you still need to grow, to be more effective for God? 3. Failure isnt fatal in Gods kingdom 4. God chooses & uses ordinary people for his work Past failure and misfortune dont discredit us. God can use ordinary people from ordinary backgrounds.

3. 5. A fresh start through fresh encounter with Jesus Do you need a burning bush experience of God, a fresh encounter of God, in this new year? Do you need to look afresh to discover God in your existing world? Do we really want to meet God, on Gods terms? Are we willing to be open, tuned-in, available, obedient as we enter this new year? “For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope. In those days when you pray, I will listen. If you look for me wholeheartedly, you will find me.” (Jeremiah 29 v 11, 12)
