A spinal cord injury (SCI) is typically defined as damage or trauma to the spinal cord that in turn results in a loss or impaired function resulting in reduced mobility or feeling. Quadriplegia or Tetraplegia is when a person has a spinal cord injury above the first thoracic vertebra (T1), C1 to C8 resulting in paralysis of all four limbs. This may result in partial or complete paralysis of the arms as well as complete paralysis of the legs. More info about SCI Paty’s injury fifth vertebra – cervical of the spine C5
