1. A spinal cord injury (SCI) is typically defined as damage or trauma to the spinal cord that in turn results in a loss or impaired function resulting in reduced mobility or feeling. Quadriplegia or Tetraplegia is when a person has a spinal cord injury above the first thoracic vertebra (T1), C1 to C8 resulting in paralysis of all four limbs.
