2  Central idea: Concussions in football are dangerous  Causes: playing a game or getting heart  Effects: Hitting your head against other hard objects  Memory loss  Playing football (it’s a contact sport)  Brain damage  spearing  Coma, death

3  Tackle football is a contact sport which could cause injuries. Concussions occur when people hit their head too hard. Spearing happens when someone lowers there head and hits another player. It is very serious. you can get very heart even killed a lot of people go into therapy and they can lose there career It’s very unlikely that if you get heart in an very serious way that you will be okay head injuries, broken bones and other stuff can kill. Cervical fractures can leave a player paralyzed forever and ever because the spinal cord it what send message’s to the brain like moving and walking. 4  Each time a player makes contact with his head down, he risks fracturing his cervical spine and being paralyzed. You will be very lucky that you will recover quickly it’s a very big pain that with all the money you would have to pay for rehab health care spinal injuries  www.ChildrensDMC.org

5 Notice in each one of these that have been related to the Spine because if you do hit there then some times you will Get paralyzed and you cant move
