4 Supports in the school years Very dynamic work going on across Ballymun and many children doing very well Children in designated disadvantaged areas:  lower than average academic, social & emotional skills up to 1 in 3 with serious literacy difficulties  more likely to demonstrate behaviour problems including hyperactivity, conduct problems, peer problems Close link between social & emotional development and learning Requires integrated strategy of supports at home, in school and the community
